    May 2008 - Cablevision's Neighborhood Journal
The Industry Film School is featured working with Middle School students through an Arts Education program. The students were shooting a short film produced, directed and edited by students with the guidance and instruction of Industry Film School educators. These students had access to professional filmmaking equipment including the Panasonic HVX200, Sound Equipment and Lighting. They also cast professional actors to play lead rolls in their short film. This film has been entered into the Red Bank International Film Festival.

     April, 2008 - Industry Film School wins Telly Award
During the Fall of 2007, Industry Film School and Actors Playground decided to produce a commercial promoting the two schools. This 30 second spot featured students currently enrolled in classes as well as filmmaking students shooting the making of a short film. One of the students from the Industry Film School assisted as AD during the production. The commercial was entered into the Telly award competition in February of 2008 and awarded a Telly for outstanding production.

     January, 2008 - Student Television Network
Industry Film School traveled to Anaheim, California to compete in the 2008 STN National Convention. Armed with the latest technology in camera and editing equipment, 4 students competed in two of the eleven events. Three students took home an honorable mention for their music video contest entry and one, Jim Mauro, received 2nd place in the Collaborative Commercial category. Over 1300 students and 700 high schools participated in the convention.

During the 4 day trip, the film school students were able to venture out into the real world of film and television production. Neal Bennett, their instructor, was able to contact some of his crew buddies in LA and get the students to experience a real life production environment on the set of Trading Spaces.

     January 2008 - Arts Middle School and Industry Film School
Arts Education Center of NJ invites Industry Film School to teach an after school filmmaking program to middle school students. The classes will take place over a 12 week session at the Middlesex Community College.

     March 15 & 16, 2007 - MCAC Teen Arts Festival
Industry Film School is featured as one of the teen workshops. Activities included students shooting and editing a recreated scene from Napoleon Dynamite using Panasonic's HVX200 High Definition Camera.

Lights, Camera, Action! Industry Film School is featured in a full page article all about the school written by Whitney Nichole Stevens of Kean University. Click Here to view the article.

    September 12 , 2006
Industry Film School begins to develop articulation agreements with well known colleges and Universities. We now also offer after school programs that run all year long as well as summer boot camps.

Industry Film School relocated its classes to 1 Main Street in Eatontown moving next door to Actor's Playground. Actor's Playground instructs over 150 students per month. Actor's Playground and Industry Film School will work closely with schedules to afford the film and acting students the opportunity to collaborate on projects.

Through strategic alliances with production related companies that afford our students real world exposure and experience, the search for a new name began. The NJ Film Academy has decided to change the school name to Industry Film School. We feel this name represents our goals for connecting our students to the filmmaking industry.

    March 23, 2006 - The HUB "Creative Minds"
NJ Film Academy's instructors present 16mm and 3D Animation workshops for the Monmouth County Teen Arts Festival. Photos are featured on the front page and page 20.

    January/February 2006 - MCAC State of the Art
NJ Film Academy is featured in the "Kevin Smith and the NJ Film Scene" article on page 15.

    October 2005 - Cablevision
The NJ Film Academy is the subject of interest in Cablevision's Neighborhood Journal television show produced by Bill Mackanic. Cablevision stopped by one of the 16mm training courses and had a chance to chat with some of our students.

NJ Film Academy's Neal Bennett appears on the front page of the “Whatever” section of the Asbury Park Press with some of his students for his role in the Locals Only surfing documentary.
